CONNECTION

GELIJKSPEL was founded in 2019 with the mission to promote a positive and inclusive organisational culture from the inside out. What began in student networks has since expanded into the workplace. During the last six years, we have inspired and mobilised young adults and institutions through dialogue and policy initiatives to contribute to fair play in education and student life.

Through continual engagement with the new generation of young professionals, we stay attuned to what drives their ambition, sparks their inspiration, and creates the conditions they need to thrive. Their expectations often differ from the existing culture within organisations, prompting them to make conscious choices. This mismatch can lead to premature departure, resulting in wasted investments in recruitment and retention, and in underutilized talent.

Recent developments concerning transgressive behavior have only increased the urgency to reflect on and revise existing cultural patterns. The need for change is not only felt societally, but also across organisations, and young employees are making this visible.

GELIJKSPEL is the right partner for organisations in both the public and private sectors who are committed to reassessing their internal culture and ensuring a socially safe working environment.

Positive

From experience, we know that a negative approach can easily lead people to distance themselves from the conversation and not want to associate with the issues at hand. Therefore, our focus is on an approach that invites dialogue and collaboration. By emphasizing where we want to go together, new energy is created that increases support and enhances the ability to discuss. The essence of our mission is the pursuit of a positive and future-oriented culture of interaction.

Creative work forms

We use creative work forms as a tool to break the ice and actively involve participants. By using methods that create space for new perspectives, an environment emerges where experiences and insights can be shared. This approach makes the theme of social culture more accessible, while simultaneously inviting reflection and deeper understanding.

Tailored approach and dialogue

Every organisational culture is unique and calls for an approach that fits its specific context. We work with a tailored perspective, placing dialogue at the centre. With experience across a wide range of organisations, we know how important it is to stay close to the core and reality of each workplace. This allows us to create a process that feels recognisable, gains support, and leads to lasting impact.

Bottom-up and top-down engagement

In our processes, we combine the dynamics of bottom-up and top-down approaches. A discussion about workplace culture only gains significance when it is not only driven by the ground floor but also supported and embraced by policy frameworks and management. It is precisely this interaction that ensures that workplace culture is not confined to words, but evolves into a shared practice that is firmly embedded within the organisation.

Connecting different perspectives

To engage as many people as possible within an organisation, it is important that different perspectives come together. When generations and departments recognise themselves in the conversation, a shared foundation is created. This increases the likelihood of a culture of interaction that is widely supported and can develop naturally within the organisation.

"During the workshop that GELIJKSPEL offers, practical examples are used as conversation starters in a light-hearted, non-judgmental and positive manner. They do not lose sight of the seriousness of the issues at hand."
